Since 2020, Lerio Book Publishing House has been in the publishing industry since Engr. Jefferson Kevin A. Lerio, published his very first book.  It is one of the Philippines' newest publishers and distributors of civil engineering books and other related professional books.

During the 2020 pandemic, when the world seemed to pause and authorities declared lockdowns, Engr. Jefferson Kevin A. Lerio found himself grappling with boredom. His daily routine of waking up, eating, watching TV, and repeating had become monotonous. It was during this time that he conceived an idea to create a book tailored for Professional Engineers and Engineering Students, focusing on Structural Analysis and Design. By June 2020, after three months of dedicated writing, he sought to publish his work with an ISBN. However, faced with rejections from multiple publishers who deemed his book unmarketable, Lerio encountered frustration that spurred him to take matters into his own hands. In July 2020, he officially established Lerio Books Publishing House, launching his own Book Publishing Company in Tagum City, Davao Del Norte. Simultaneously, he introduced his inaugural publication, "Design and Analysis of 2-Storey Residential Building: A Guide to the Use of STAAD.Pro Connect Edition," marking the first STAAD book published in the Philippines. Within three months of its release, Lerio's book had sold 1000 copies, demonstrating the immediate impact and demand for his contributions to the field of engineering literature. On September 5, 2023, the day of his birth, the City of Tagum bestowed upon Lerio Books Publishing House a certification, officially recognizing it as the First Book Publishing Company in the city. This accolade not only marked a significant milestone for Lerio's company but also underscored its pioneering role in advancing literary and educational initiatives within the community.
